Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) fully supports the Philippine government’s efforts in safeguarding public health and safety amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. In line with this, TMP confirms its latest COVID-19 cases involving twenty-two of its employees who tested positive within the period May 4-25, 2021.

As an immediate response, TMP implemented the following measures:

1. Home quarantine / hospital confinement / isolation at designated facilities by the COVID-19-positive employees;
2. Contact tracing of individuals who were identified to have had direct interaction with the COVID-19-positive employees;
3. Disinfection and deep cleaning of identified areas the COVID-19-positive employees has frequented; and -
4. Other measures prescribed by DOH and the IATF guidelines.

TMP will continue to implement established health protocols and take precautionary measures to deal with this issue, closely working with all concerned government agencies, including the relevant local authorities, to prevent the further spread of the virus.
