This October, witness “Future Mobility” unfold as Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP)—the country’s number one car brand—joins the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) for its 7th rendition of the Philippine International Motor Show. The five-day exposition, to be held from October 24 to 28 at the World Trade Center, will showcase Toyota’s vision of the countless possibilities we could achieve through modern mobility.

Toyota’s booth is slated to draw in crowds of eager petrolheads and car enthusiasts with its extensive model lineup. At the forefront of the exhibit is the All-New Vios, followed by Toyota’s full size spectrum of SUVs: the new Rush, the best-selling Fortuner, and the luxurious Land Cruiser. The locally-manufactured Innova Touring Sport makes an appearance for the Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) market, while the Prius C represents Toyota’s pursuit of Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) technology. Aside from these commercially-available models, the Toyota booth will also feature its waku-doki Vios One Make Race (OMR) pace car.

Toyota lunges to embrace this year’s “Future Mobility” theme by choosing the TJ Cruiser as its powerful centerpiece. The TJ Cruiser is Toyota Motor Corporation’s latest concept car: a hybrid juggernaut that combines the luggage capacity of a cargo van with the imposing design of an off-road SUV.

Besides the indoor display, visitors will be able to experience the equivalent models outside through a number of Toyota test drive units. There are booth activities where the whole family can try their luck in exciting games for exclusive Toyota prizes. Dedicated transaction areas with representatives from Toyota Genuine Parts & Accessories, Toyota Financial Services, and Metro Manila dealerships are also available.

Make sure to catch the premiere expo and drop by the Toyota booth this coming October 24-28, Wednesday to Sunday, at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

The country’s best-selling passenger car gets revamped with a distinctly bold exterior, optimized interior comfort, signature Dual VVT-i fuel efficiency, and unmatched safety features that make it the Best in its Class. The All-New Vios is a model that exhibits quality at first sight—truly an enduring icon on the road.

On the outside, a horizontally-oriented blackout grille emphasizes the model’s wider stance, accentuated by LED Daytime Running Lights and Fog Lamps. Exclusive to the Prime variants are new character lines and skirts, as well as 16” alloy wheels, rear combination lamps with LED line guides, and halogen projector headlamps. The dynamic silhouette running from bumper to trunk lid tapers smoothly into sleek redesigned spoilers and an aerostabilizing shark fin antenna.

The model comes with Push Start and Smart Entry System, giving the driver freedom of choice through Eco and Sport power modes. Available in 5-speed Manual Transmission (MT) and Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), with sequential shift and paddle shift functions. The All-New Vios is also the only model in the subcompact segment whose variants are all certified by the ASEAN New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) with an astounding 5-star rating, the highest in its charts.

Intended for those who balance work and play extraordinarily well, the new Toyota Rush is making waves in the entry-SUV segment. Tasteful exterior, modern interior, and advanced features are some of the Toyota Rush’s exciting characteristics.

The Toyota Rush is the perfect city dweller with its 17” alloy wheels, stylish LED headlamps and tail lights, built at an impressive 220mm high ground clearance. On other days, it can also be brought out of town with its fuel-efficient 1.5L VVT-I engine. The 7-seater G grade entry-SUV offers a spacious luggage compartment for the everyday traveler and an 8-speaker system perfect for the active lifestyle of the car owner.

Rush owners can enjoy a stress-free drive with the vehicle’s easy to navigate interior features, such as its Push Start button across all variants, Capacitive Touchscreen Audio System, Optitron Meter Gauge with Multi-Information Display (MID), back camera, and an Apple-certified 7” entertainment system.

The model is best described by Toyota executive chief engineer, Hiroki Nakajima: “Our concept was to build a true SUV that has style and confidence. The All-New Fortuner is the outcome of our continuous efforts to redefine toughness.”

With a longer and wider stance from the previous generation, the Fortuner is every inch a stand-out for both urban and outdoor zones. The G grade comes in 17” alloy wheels while the V grade flashes a set of 18” alloy wheels. It comes with Drive Mode Selection, capacitive touchscreen audio with navigation, and Multi-Information Display.

The Toyota Fortuner asserts a newfound driving performance embodied by its new GD series engine, which allows the all-new Fortuner to balance power with fuel efficiency. The SUV’s new engine is also considerably more discreet in practical usage conditions—vibrations and road noise are well-suppressed even on rough terrain.

The Toyota Land Cruiser is a model forged by the past and perfected by the future. Often regarded as the quintessential “status vehicle”, the LC Premium exudes elegance and authority with its empowering size and stance.

Every drive promises prestige with the LC Premium’s off-road exterior: a redesigned chrome grille, LED headlights, front fog lamps and rear combination lamps, as well as an elegant set of 18” alloy wheels all combine into an unforgettable look. The Premium variant also comes with a bumper overrider, and the signature Land Cruiser body stripe. A dashboard of equal caliber matches on the inside, with its high-resolution touch screen display and four-zone automatic climate control.

This goes perfectly with the LC Premium’s leather trimmed, multi-stage heated seats which provide the best riding comfort, and the built-in 14-speaker setup by JBL Synthesis. The model is rigged with a powerful 5.7L DOHC 32-valve V8 engine for constant peak performance.

The locally-manufactured Innova continues to be the best-selling Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV)in the Philippines since its launch in 2005. True to its name, the Innova keeps up with the ever-changing preferences of customers while continuously promoting practicality with modern design. Its latest variant, the Touring Sport, amplifies the Innova’s strong and robust image—now perfect for any adventure with its intensified persona.

Its exterior design highlights a sporty figure with its 16” matte black alloy wheel, smoked headlamps, chrome front grille, and fender molding with FR & RR diffusers near its bumper. Along with the refreshing sporty features, the Innova Touring Sport also comes with Anti-Theft System, reverse sensors, and door ajar warning which emphasizes functionality. The Innova Touring Sport shows off a more youthful and energetic vibe as you drive it on the road.

Introduced in 1997 and continually evolving since then, the hybrid Prius has been the emblem of Toyota’s commitment to bringing sustainable, innovative, and exciting mobility solutions to the consumer with careful consideration to the environment we all share.

The Prius C variantis set to power the future with its striking new design, proving itself to be a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) that customers will love because of its compact body, minimized emissions, and unparalleled fuel economy. This current generation of the Prius is built on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA). TNGA is the Toyota brand’s global initiative of “making ever-better cars” through optimized core parts that are streamlined, lightweight, and high-performing.

The Vios Cup One Make Race (OMR) Pace and Safety Car is a 1.5 G Prime CVT variant of the current generation Vios, modified to match the taste and requirements of Toyota’s grassroots racing event. Aside from the attention-grabbing livery highlighting the Vios Cup sponsors, the OMR Pace Car is equipped with Rota alloy wheels, race driver’s bucket seat, a roof-mounted light bar, TRD suspension, and a limited-slip differential. The model has been featured in the most recent legs of Vios Cup Season 5, both in Filinvest, Alabang and in Clark International Speedway.

A prime example of the pursuit for Future Mobility can be found in Toyota’s latest concept car, the TJ Cruiser: a hybrid juggernaut that combines the luggage capacity of a cargo van with the powerful design of an off-road SUV. Toyota’s concept car offers the best of both worlds by having a seamless balance of form and function, evident in its square and sturdy body that allows for a fully-maximized cabin space.

First seen in the prestigious Tokyo Motor Show last October 2017, the TJ Cruiser has now landed on Manila’s shores to spearhead this year’s Toyota exhibit.
