Going greener does not always have to mean making a huge lifestyle change all at  once. Sometimes, it can start with something as simple as changing the way we move around starts with the way we choose our car.

Toyota is bringing that idea to life through its Beyond Zero campaign, which encourages efforts in achieving zero emissions and beyond it. Instead of saying there’s only one way to go greener, the Beyond Zero campaign shows that there can be different mobility solutions to reduce carbon emissions depending on people’s lifestyle, needs, and readiness.

That’s where Toyota’s multi-pathway approach comes in. Simply put, it’s about giving customers more ways to drive more efficiently based on what fits their lifestyle today. For some, that could mean choosing a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), which helps reduce fuel use while fitting easily into everyday routines. For others, it could mean going fully electric with a battery electric vehicle (BEV). And for those who are not yet ready to make the shift, Toyota is also continuing to develop its internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to be more fuel-efficient, helping lower carbon emissions through better everyday performance. The point is not to rely on just one solution in achieving carbon neutrality, but to make lower-emission mobility feel more practical, flexible, and relevant to real life through a range of different options.

This is what makes Toyota’s approach easy to relate to. Not everyone has the same daily drive, budget, or access to charging infrastructure. Some people want something familiar and convenient while others are ready to try something new. By offering different electrified options, the multi-pathway approach allows more Filipinos to take a step toward carbon neutrality and beyond, in a way that feels practical, not overwhelming.

Go Beyond Zero with the RAV4 HEV and Urban Cruiser BEV
Among the new models championing Beyond Zero are the all-new RAV4 HEV and the new Urban Cruiser BEV, both of which were recently made available to the local market. The RAV4 HEV offers a strong option for those who want an SUV that fits everyday life which allows them to go further in a single tank while helping reduce fuel consumption. Meanwhile, the Urban Cruiser BEV gives drivers another option for moving toward an all-electric lifestyle that’s ideal for city driving and first-time EV users that are looking for an easy transition.

More customers are already embracing electrified mobility. In 2025, TMP sold 19,516 xEV units, accounting for 8.5% of total Toyota sales for the year. Since the launch of the Prius in 2009, TMP has sold 44,228 xEV units as of end-December 2025. These numbers reflect a growing interest in vehicles that offer a more efficient and practical way to move through everyday life.

At the heart of Beyond Zero is a simple idea that mobility should do more than get people from one place to another and create better experiences along the way. For Filipinos, that means having vehicle options that suit real lifestyles, daily routines, and the way people move today.

For Toyota, the journey to carbon neutrality does not have to happen all at once, and it does not have to look the same for everyone. With a range of electrified options designed for different lifestyles, Toyota positions itself as the right choice for people who want to start making more conscious decisions on the road, one practical step at a time.
