See how Toyota is helping communities in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic
As the country undergoes enhanced community quarantine to “flatten the curve” in order to manage the COVID-19 pandemic, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMPC) continues to contribute to help communities move forward through mobility support and special assistance to its customers.
With all kinds of public transportation suspended, it has become a challenge for most frontliners, especially healthcare workers to report for duty in their respective hospitals. TMPC has coordinated with various local government units and hospitals to lend out its company vehicles to doctors and nurses serving in different healthcare institutions.
To date, 49 Toyota vehicles have been allocated to help bring urgent care to patients. Other units were also lent to volunteer groups who are distributing personal protective equipment to healthcare workers in various hospitals.
"PGH health workers were enabled to perform their vital jobs. Thank you Toyota Philippines for your generosity and support. The vans were really useful." - Dr Rodney Dofitas, Philippine General Hospital COVID Crisis Team, Manpower Support
Keeping our customers' safety and convenience in mind, TMPC also extended the payment terms for Toyota Financial Services (TFS) accounts, lapsing insurance policies under Toyota Insure, and warranty coverages for Toyota vehicles. Toyota vehicles scheduled for Periodic Maintenance Services are also given a 30-day grace period.
Toyota Motor Philippines Foundation (TMPF) meanwhile has handed out donations for health care workers and families who need support. Some 154 isolation gowns, 92 surgical gowns and 300 pairs of surgical gloves were donated to Santa Rosa Community hospital, while sacks of rice and grocery packages were distributed to hard to reach areas and certain communities including the Toyota Santa Rosa Gawad Kalinga Village which is home to more than 150 families.
"Maraming Salamat Toyota Motor Phils. para sa mga PPEs na inyong ipinagkaloob. Salamat sa walang sawang pagsuporta at pag agapay sa ating ospital. Pagpalain po kayo ng Panginoon!" - Santa Rosa Community Hospital
In these challenging times, TMPC is one with our leaders, health care workers, frontliners and volunteer groups in fighting this pandemic. We continue to empower people through mobility and advocating for safety.
Toyota is here for you. Together, we look forward to better days ahead.
